Morid cod

The red codling or hoka, Pseudophycis bachus, is a morid cod of the genus Pseudophycis, found around southern Australia and New Zealand, from the surface to 700 m.

The Morid cod lives in the demersal, marine, depth range 26 - 700 m , usually 200 - 300 m environment.
