Ligustrum microcarpum - Under the name L. sinense, Taiwanese plants are described by the Flora of Taiwan as a shrub or small tree growing to 7 m tall. The leaves are 3.5–8 cm long and 1.5–3 cm broad, thin textured, with an obtuse apex and an entire margin. The flowers are white, with four corolla lobes 2 mm long, produced in panicles 7–10 cm long; the fruit is globose, 6 mm diameter.
Ligustrum pricei - It is an evergreen shrub or small tree growing to 1–8 m tall. The leaves are 1.5–6 cm long and 1.5–6 cm broad, with an acute apex and an entire margin. The flowers are white, 6–8 mm diameter, produced in panicles 2–7 cm long.
