Hibiscadelphus hualalaiensis - Hibiscadelphus hualalaiensis is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family, Malvaceae, that is endemic to the Big Island of Hawaii. The last known plant died in 1992, making it most likely extinct in the wild; any remaining plants are threatened by habitat loss. It inhabits dry and mixed mesic forests on the slopes of Hual?lai at elevations of 915–1,020 m . Associated plants include ??hi?a lehua , lama , m?mane , naio , ??la?a , p?pala , ?aiea , po?ol? , and Kikuyu Grass . H. hualalaiensis is a small tree, reaching a height of 5–7 m and trunk diameter of 30 cm .

 
 

Maui hau kuahiwi - It was found only in Hawaii. The species was known from a single specimen discovered on Maui in 1910. Today it is believed to be extinct.

 
 

Wood's hau kuahiwi - It was discovered in 1991 and described as a new species in 1995.
