Cycas platyphylla

Cycas platyphylla is distinguished from other Australian species by the initially bluish leaves becoming grey-green, or deeply green over time. It has moderately broad leaflets with recurved margins. Its leaves become highly glossy or semiglossy, are 20-40 inches long, are strongly keeled with 120-260 leaflets covered with orange tomentum (fuzz). The basal leaflets do not gradually reduce to spines. Its median leaflets are strongly discolorous, and somewhat revolute, similar to the Cycas revoluta (Sago Palm). More
