Esacus giganteus - The Beach Stone-curlew, Esacus giganteus also known as Beach Thick-knee is a large, ground-dwelling bird occurs in Australasia, the islands of South-east Asia and India.
Great Thick-knee - This species prefers gravel banks along rivers or large lakes, and also beaches. A single egg is laid in a bare scrape on the open shingle.
