Spotted Wren has an oddly disjunct range in Mexico, being found in the drier oak forests of the Sierra Madre Occidental and the northern Sierra Madre Oriental. This range is shared, curiously, only with Military Macaw. However, while Spotted Wrens are endemic to Mexico, the macaw ranges south into South America. More
