Schistocichla leucostigma

The Spot-winged Antbird is a species of bird in the Thamnophilidae family. Until recently, it included the Roraiman, Humaita, Brownish-headed and Rufous-faced Antbird as subspecies, but based on differences in voice and plumage it has been recommended treating them as separate species. As presently defined, the Spot-winged Antbird includes the subspecies infuscata, subplumbea and intensa.

The Schistocichla leucostigma is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.
