Sri lanka bush-warbler

Sri Lanka Bush Warbler is a bird of dense forest undergrowth, often close to water. It is found in the highlands of central Sri Lanka, usually above 1200 m. The nest is built in a shrub, and two eggs are laid.

The Sri lanka bush-warbler is classified as Near Threatened (NT), is close to qualifying for or is likely to qualify for a threatened category in the near future.

Yellow-eared Bulbul, Sri Lanka Bush-warbler, Ceylon White-eye and Black-throated Munia. There are also chances to see Mountain Hawk-eagle, Indian Blackbird, Hill Swallow, Pied Bushchat and Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher amongst others. Other animals present in this unique habitat include Purple-faced leaf-monkey, Eurasian Otter, Stripe-necked Mongoose, Sambar and Dusky Striped Squirrel. The rest of our time will be spent at various other sites looking for any of the highland endemics still needed. More
