including Rufous-collared Monarch (left, on a nest), now split from the Frilled Monarch Arses telescophthalmus of s. New Guinea and ne. Australia. It is one of the monarchs to show colorful bare wattles around the eye. Another species, Golden Monarch Monarcha chrysomela, evolved a pattern than resembles a miniature Golden Cuckoo-Shrike Campochaera sloetii.
