Blanford's Rosefinch

The Crimson Rosefinch is a species of finch in the Fringillidae family. It is found in Bhutan, China, India, and Nepal. Its natural habitat is boreal forests.

The Blanford's Rosefinch is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.

Blanford's Rosefinch is thought to be very close to nipalensis, so I have moved it also. Rather than folding them in Leucosticte, I restore the genus name Procarduelis, which belongs to nipalensis. I follow AOU in listing three North American rosy-finches. Some have even suggested further splitting the Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch. They have also been all been lumped into one species in the past.
