Malaysian Eared Nightjar

The Malaysian Eared-nightjar is a species of nightjar in the Caprimulgidae family. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

The Malaysian Eared Nightjar is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.

vigils often give good views of Malaysian Eared Nightjar and Bat Hawk. We with spend much of our time exploring the forest trails where we can expect to see an amazing array of spectacular birds including several species of Hornbills, Woodpeckers, Trogons and Broadbills. We will pay particular attention to the shady under story, home to some of Asia’s most sort after forest gems including Garnet and Banded Pittas, and the truly enigmatic Malaysian Rail Babbler. More
